Overview
Within the framework of Barcelona Gallery Weekend, ADN Galeria presents Glass ceiling, a Regina José Galindo solo show. The exhibition, which combines performance, video and photography, will open Thursday 18 at 19.00 h.
The notion of work associated with female labor inequality is explored by the artist Regina José Galindo in her eponymously titled work Glass Ceiling. An installation performance where a large sheet of glass makes the ceiling of a part of the gallery decrease to 1.50 meters. Six women of 1.70 m. high (including the artist), will conduct a performance in which they will be forced to be down with the neck twisted and bent head to stay for a while. The result will be shown in the exhibition room after the project in the form of a video.
