The Paradox of No: Carlos Pazos, George Brecht, Robert Filliou
Forthcoming exhibition
Overview
Within the framework of Barcelona Gallery Weekend, for the Flash programme, ADN Galeria presents The Paradox of No, a group show that includes works by Carlos Pazos, George Brecht and Robert Filliou. The exhibition will open Thursday, September 18 from 12.00 h.
Can art be made without making it? The practices of Brech, Filliou and Pazos are situated outside of the disciplines. The three of them discover objects, perform or write texts. These, however, escape definition. Their nature is circumstantial, ephemeral, fleeting and imposible to be apprehended in its totality. They have not sought to make a work of art, but to stop making it.
