La Luz cegarora (The Blinding Light) se inspira en el Retablo de San Marcos pintado por Fra Angelico en 1440, concretamente en el episodio de La curación del Diácono Justiniano” en la que los santos Cosme y Damián curan al diácono injertándole la pierna de un hombre etíope fallecido recientemente. Esta escena evoca la mezcla de un cuerpo blanco con un miembro negro, pero también de los vivos con los muertos, cuestionando así las nociones de raza, hibridación e identidad. La serie de fotomontajes con varias imágenes muestran un quirófano actual que se superpone a esta escena milagrosa. De esta manera, los fantasmas y las personas vivas están presentes en otra forma de realidad, una temporalidad fantasiosa tan milagrosa como la escena bíblica.
