This series explores of the notion of globalization through the parallelism between trade routes and bodies. Produced in Miami, one of the American cities with the largest Latin American and Caribbean immigrant communities. Wet Feet series articulates metaphor and metonymy, focusing on the traces left by forced illegal journeys on concrete objects such as containers, wood vessels and floats abandoned by refugees from Cuba and the Caribbean upon their arrival in the United States. The traces left on objects, bearing the scars of the violence from those journeys, tend to become, over time, metaphors for the transformations that accompany the migratory experience.
