The artist point of departure for the Books for an Unwritten History project is the Fridays for Future (FFF) international movement founded by Greta Thunberg in 2018. The artist has taken some of the slogans included in the FFF protests related to the oceans and decontextualized them, turning them into titles of books of a history still to be written. A history full of hope but above all, a history about the future. Thus, Avelino Sala sets out a critical analysis by proposing a new role for these slogans while at the same time he analyses the global dimension of environmental conflicts from the visual arts.
